Graphical User Interface and Methods Thereof in a Multimedia Player

I find this piece of art interesting because it’s not from a patent filing relating to the iPod’s hardware–it’s from one for its software, and diagrams its user interface. Yet by diagramming the software, the illustration creates something that visually mimics like the hardware that contains it. That’s gotta be a sign of the fundamental elegance of the iPod software-hardware integration.
