I keep thinking it’s already 2009–probably because I’m used to working on magazines that are planned months in advance. In fact, there are still a couple of weeks of 2008 left. It felt like a good time to recap the year in tech by ranking the stories that mattered most…and picking a newsmaker of the year. If anything big breaks between now and December 31th, I’m in trouble!
