My new iPlay seems to be made of pebbly plastic, with a surface that feels more like Linoleum than Apple’s choice of material, aluminum. Its touch wheel-like controls don’t feature the touch-sensitive capabilities of a real Nano. (As a matter of fact, you’ve got to press really hard before your commands register.) The player’s manufacturer–apparently a company called Oker–does go Apple one better, sort of, by building in a lanyard holder.
