Years have had 4 digits since AD 1000, and Microsoft didn’t anticipate Y2K when it created MS-DOS circa 1980, so it should come as no surprise that the much more modern innovation of Leap Year should also cause it problems.

Microsoft needs to hire someone who understands the calendar.
