Twitter is for self-promotion or random thoughts, which may or may not turn out to be useful to somewhere who happens to be searching. Facebook is about seeing what your friends have been up to, rather than what sandwich they’ve just eaten, about sharing photos, and keeping in touch.

99% of my friends on Facebook are people I actually know in real life, 0% of people I follow on twitter do I know in real life. Is it just me?

The interface on Facebook (dislike it) is why I use Twitter to feed my Facebook page. Other than using Yatca on my Blackberry I still primarily use the Twitter web client. I know people love Tweetdeck, but I don’t need all of that info laid out for me. I see most of the tweets on my phone and just go back and read the links of ones that interest me in a full browser. If someone could do the same on Facebook for me I would probably switch to that instead of the Facebook web page. The problem with the FB web page is there is too much clutter. They need to do something to make the experience better. Maybe someone else can do a better job of it.
