I guess the exception is software. If the new iPhone OS is introduced I can see it being available for download immediately. I’m looking forward to the updates on Snow Leopard because regardless of what is shown at WWDC tomorrow, I plan on buying a new MacBook in August. I would hope if Snow Leopard gets all the attention tomorrow, it would ship on new MacBooks by the end of the summer.

Not that ridiculous. Back with the move to generation 3 iPods I got stung in this exact way. Bought a brand new iPod at 9am – later that day they were pulled for the next gen one.

Needless to say they exchanged it with no questions asked…
