As I see it, tethering should be free in your unlimited data-plan. You pay for data, no matter how you use it.

I bet it’s a $5, $10, or $15 add on like the unlimited texting option. They’re probably trying to gauge where the sweet-spot is on the pricing though. Not everyone will use it even if it’s free, so the people who want it will probably have to pay for it… but if it’s cheap enough even more people will buy it just to use once in a while… Realistically speaking I bet it could even go up to $20/month.
