Apple’s not alone in using “Pro” in a not-very-helpful manner, but its recent moves do eliminate any usefulness the term once had. Not only did it redub the 13-inch MacBook as a Pro, but it released a version of the 15-inch Pro without discrete graphics–discrete graphics having formerly been one of the features that marked a Mac as a Pro…

“Pro” is a subjective term, and not meant to be an exact science designation. It seems like you are desperately looking for something to bash Apple about. Macs are not meant to be for everyone. Some people can only afford a $300-500 low-quality PC laptop.
