I thought the purpose of advertising was to inspire the viewer to purchase the item. Having Joe loser tell his mom that Windows7 was his idea makes any hope of improvements I want seem very slight. I don’t need a computer that will bring me a beer from the frig or change the channel for me.
I have yet to see a regular Joe character in these commercials that “us common folk” would really want to admit to being anywhere near to being even remotely like us.

I was thinking, “Microsoft should come up with some really unnecessary, lame imitation of Apple’s Bonjour, give it a name that even they can’t keep straight, make it require some arcane, cryptic 20-digit key that no one will possibly remember so that as soon as they go to set it up they decide to never use it again,” and they did it! I was thinking they should do it to shoot themselves in the foot, but they still used it anyway! Thanks, Microsoft. I’m a PC.

This isn’t really meant for TV, right? The girl at the 17 second mark definitely drops the F-Bomb and I was under the impression that that word wasn’t permitted on American television (though it personally doesn’t bother me).
