I’d love to get my hands on a Nook. Unfortunately, I’m stationed in Germany and the Nook does not support international purchases yet. Hopefully B&N won’t take too long to fix that. I understand they are going to be adding Canadian purchases soon, so that’s a step in the right direction.

I just pre-ordered mine tonight. I am super excited! I will have to weight for the 18th though. But right in time for my holiday break. Until then, I will continue to read up on it and “play” with it in the store on the 30th of November.

They told me that if your local store has your email address they will email you when they have one to look at. Which from what I understand, would be most of the B&N stores.

It’s just on new pre-orders as of 6pm on 11/12. The device is still coming out 11/30 and the first set of pre-orders will begin to ship then. Typical for hot new gadgets, right? I remember it took me some time to find a Wii when that came out. I’d like to get a nook, too.

I’m very much looking forward to the Nook. Although other readers were available, they lacked the ‘overall’ feature set and availability of digital material in one product. I’m gonna hold off on getting the nook until I see how they deal with PDF documents. I do like the color digital display, the shopping experience at B&N stores, memory card capable, etc.

I hope it will live up to expectations.
