Advertising Age’s Steve Rubel says it’s time to get ready for the end of the Web as we knew it.

The web as "we" know it in the article seems to be "the web as the advertisers know it". Frankly, I don't care if they are discomfited. They have made the web not what I wanted. (They are, at least, paying for the privilege.)
