Wouldn’t it be cool if every significant TV show of the past sixty years was available in its entirety (or at least everything that survives) on the Web?

Yes, it would be cool (although a huge time suck!). I've always wanted to start a website for pilot episodes. Essentially, a place where all of those TV shows that never made it past episode zero can find a home.

I want the Steve Allen and Jack Parr Tonight shows. It was with Steve that I started (yes, I'm older than Harry by quite a bit). (I almost certainly can't have them, but haven't looked.)

In 10 years there will be a torrent for this. Mark my words.

I think that very little Allen or Paar Tonight show survives–but there is a smattering of what's left on YouTube. I'd like to see more myself. I do have a DVD boxset of a similar show that Paar did later in the 1960s.
