Good rant by Gizmodo’s Mat Honan on the iPhone 4S’s Siri, a rare Apple product that’s being used as a major selling point even though it’s unquestionably unfinished. Me, I like Siri even in its current state–but Apple needs to follow up with a version that feels less like a beta and more like an Apple product.

There's a telling scene in Walter Issacson's new book where a dying Steve Jobs, in a wheelchair, goes to resign to the Apple Board of Directors. In that meeting, he took one of his employee's iPhone 4S prototypes and started harassing Siri. That tells me that he probably didn't have that much to do with the program. In many ways, Siri may be Apple's first post-Jobs product. If so, it's not a good sign.
