Despite filling the otherwise unoccupied role of “Mature Wii Title,” No More Heroes was a commercial miss. The concept was admittedly oddball: an anime junkie named Travis Touchdown wins a Lightsaber-like sword on the Internet, and thus decides to be an assassin. The month after Christmas release date couldn’t have helped. Too bad, because Developer Goichi Suda’s love letter to video games — combining stylized sex and gore with the occasional 8-bit sound and image — is one of my personal all-time favorites.
