We Have Some Winners!

As you may know, the HP MediaSmart Server has been the exclusive sponsor of Technologizer’s Digital Media Central section. HP has been presenting “What Are Your 3?,” a feature which lets people upload and embed their favorite photos, videos, and songs, as well as vote on other folks’ media. And to make contributing more tempting, HP decided to give away MediaSmart Servers to participants whose media were top-rated by other visitors.
The contest is over, and I’m happy to announce the winners. Here they are (click on their names to see the stuff they submitted):

I received am email that I won and confirmed a couple of times from a lady there. No I have not received it, and even told it hasn’t shipped yet.

I emailed the lady to whom I had to confirm my information at the same time I posted this message. Apparently she emailed each of the winners stating that she doesn’t have shipping information yet.
I was hoping to get an estimated delivery date so it won’t be sitting outside on my front porch for too long.

Yes, I did. I’m looking forward to getting it, too. I’ve had one on my Amazon wish list when I first heard of the new servers. I’m curious which model it is, the EX485 or EX487. At least, I hope it’s one of the newer models. I won’t complain if it’s not, but given the timing of the contest, I assume it is.

Ya I’ve been wanting one since the first versions, but I just haven’t had the money :(. Having 3 pc’s and 20+ GB of photo’s, documents and other misc items I need an automated backup…

124 GB of photos and 90 GB of videos here and 95% of it is stuff I created.
I’m looking for a solution to be able to view these pictures and videos using a Linksys Media Center Extender in our living room, and I think this HP MediaSmart Server will enable me to do that.

it should especially with power pack 1. I was going to get a media center extender due to this as well 😛
I miss having the xbox for that capability

No one was home to accept delivery, so FedEx left a tag on my door. Hopefully I can pick it up tomorrow.
