Good Qs, Harry. I won’t hazzard a guess on all of them, but one stood out as especially intriguing. If you look at some of the research Jeremiah Owyang @ Forrester has been conducting, the notion of PayPal crushing Amazon payments is interesting. If you accept Jeremiah’s future of the social web vision, in the era of social commerce, I’d argue that PayPal is very well positioned to reap the rewards of P2P commerce. I don’t see Amazon going by the wayside per se, but looking out 10 years, I can see where a Facebook or Craigslist could leverage “social” commerce very effectively with PayPal at the core.
