The Wall Street Journal’s Walt Mossberg prefers to do his e-reading on an iPad. (So do I, most of the time.) And he’s reviewed iPad e-readers: Apples iBooks, Amazon’s Kindle, and Barnes & Noble’s Nook.

@ Harry McCracken : Why do you prefer an iPad for reading as opposed to the Kindle?

A few reasons:
1) I spend more time reading in dimly-lit areas than in the direct sunlight, so the backlighting helps
2) I'm morel iikely to have the iPad with me, since it does more
3) I don't like the grayness of dedicated e-reader screens
(BTW–I do like the new Kindle as well. Just not as much overall.)
