Ten Years of Predicting the Products That Are Built to Change the World

By  |  Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 9:41 am

For ten years we’ve been firm in the belief that the consumer always knows best.  Trends come and go, but good products stand the test of time. And since consumers vote with their pocketbooks, they know what it takes to make  a product succeed.

In 2011, for the tenth time we’ll gather at International CES in Las Vegas to present ten finalists who have the right stuff.

How do we get from here to there? It’s all happening at LastGadgetStanding.com. We’re inviting the best of the best tech experts to join us for this gala year.  Harry McCracken of Technologizer will be cohosting the events.  His insights and good taste will set a new bar.

Harry and I will be joined by Michael Miller (the former editor-in-chief of PC Magazine), Joanna Stern (Engadget), Peter Rojas (Gdgt), Patrick Houston (NetShelter), Melissa Perenson (PCWorld), John Biggs (CrunchGear), Avram Piltch (Laptop Magazine), blogger and former BusinssWeek columist Steve Wildstrom, and Dave Zatz (Zatz Not Funny).  It’s bound to be a heated discussion and vote.

Our experts screen the products to narrow the list. And your opinion counts so if you see a product that you think has legs to go the distance please chime in. We’lll continue to narrow the list until we get to a Top 25 and then a Top 10. That’s when our online audience steps in to help decided on the final ten. From there we’ll determine an online  “people’s winner.” The Top 10 will appear at a CES supersession where a live voting audience will determine which they believe is the Last Gadget Standing.

When: Saturday, 10:30 a.m., Jan. 9, 2010

Where: Room N255-257, LVCC, North Hall, 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
