Next Tuesday at 11am ET/8am PT, Verizon is holding an event in New York to announce the Verizon iPhone. (Okay, all the company is saying is that it’ll share its “latest news”–but if it doesn’t relate to the iPhone, I know a lot of people who will be stunned.) I don’t know whether Steve Jobs will attend, but I will–and I hope you will, too, by participating in our live blog coverage. It’ll live at technologizer.com/verizon, and you can head there right now to sign up for an e-mail reminder.

Personally I believe Verizon will announce the iPad2 which it will have as an exclusive for 1-3 months then the iPad2 will be available on both networks. The iPhone 5 will be the Verizon/AT&T phone.

The question is do I care, I'm disabled and rarely out of land-line connection, via a cordless phone. And have a home PC with a Web connection so why would I need a cellphone. Now if I was mobile then a cell phone would make since.

For the most part, I have heard good things about Verizon's customer service. I would have been happy switching over and using the Droid but I am even happier to switch over to VZ with an iPhone. Only a couple weeks left on my contract.
