Wait, did Google just remove one of the Nexus S’s best features? And explain why killing it is good for users?

It's good because they were giving Facebook a special hardcoded exception, and this move will force Facebook to use the standard APIs that everyone else uses. Not to mention its only on this single Android phone for the time being, meaning that 99 percent of all Android users will not notice a change.
