My daughter was very happy that she didn't have to see Kung Fu Panda in 3d yesterday. She said that the glasses that slide down her face are a pain in the neck (or the nose).

And the savings for Mom was welcome as well!

People shouldn’t be so surprised. The industry brings 3D out of mothballs every 30 years or so (first the Fifties, then the Eighties, and now), and it flops every time after the novelty wears off. The only reason it’s getting such a hard push from Hollywood this time around is because, in my opinion, they hope to boost their flagging revenue stream, not only from 3D theater but with home video sales as well.

The definition of insanity: trying the same failed thing over and over in the belief that it’ll actually work THIS time…

    Good riddance.
