Using a projector, a mirror and a curved surface, TOOB (“Think Out Of Box”) extends gaming to your peripheral vision. I bet a handy techie could craft something similar as a weekend project if not for TOOB’s image-distorting PC game software. Without it, first-person shooters are an excessively curvy mess. TOOB’s aiming for a sub-$1,000 price point — without the projector — when it ships next year.
