Kevin Chang, a programmer analyst for USC’s Institute for Creative Technologies, uses virtual reality goggles to get in the driver’s seat of a military Humvee. Surrounded by explosions and gunfire, it’s pretty unnerving to see your comrades slumped over, dead, when you glance over your shoulder. This is no video game. Chang said the program is being researched to treat post-traumatic stress disorder.
