Double-Sided, Reversible Electronic Paper

I love the notion that Apple patented real live electronic paper with images on both sides almost seventeen years ago. But this is actually a patent for an on-screen interface conceit (for the Newton, judging from the aspect ratio). The notion of interface elements having two sides lives on in items such as Dashboard widgets, which put their settings on their flipsides.
